Activity: Group the Objects by Colours Copy

Let’s have fun on colours with objects around your house!

Materials Needed

  • Various objects of different colours
  • A coloured band (from your child’s student kit)

How To Do

Let’s follow the step-by-step guide for you to do a hands-on activity with your child.

  1. Explore different colours with your child by mixing up all the gathered objects of different colours. 
  2. Now, ask your child to group the objects according to their colours. 
  3. Ask your child to explain why he/she group the objects in that way.
  4. Ask your child if he or she can suggest other ways to group the objects (e.g., according to their size, shape, objects with one colour, or objects with two colours). 
  5. At the end of the lesson, reward them with a coloured band. Ask him/her to observe and tell you the colour and shape of the band.
