Teaching Tips!

Motor skills are crucial in early childhood development. Making sure the children in your classroom have strong motor skills will not only improve the learning process but will also aid in the efficiency of your teaching as children with strong motor skills are more independent and able to do many tasks on their own.

Having trouble conducting the experiments? Activities did not go as planned?
Have extra time or are looking for creative ways to modify and “stretch” this lesson?
Here are tips and suggestions to support your teaching needs:

Exploring Materials Around UsBesides the objects that are provided in the Material Box, you may use objects around you to show children the different materials. To make this activity more interesting, ask your children to “hunt” for objects which are made up of specific materials such as “Look for something that is made of metal” or “Find something that is made of wood”.
3D HouseOnce the children have constructed their 3D House, try to relate the materials of the house with actual objects or furniture that they have at home. For instance, ask the children whether the gate of their homes are made of the materials which can be found on the 3D House, so on and so forth.
