Now, let us watch this video lesson with your child to learn more about his/her hearing.

With our sense of hearing we are also able to identify sounds that provide us other important information. Ask the children to give some examples based on their experiences. These might include fire alarms, ambulance siren, police siren, thunder or the phone ringing.

Guide your child on the importance of ears and how to take care of them. For example:

• Keep your ears clean with a damp cloth.
•  Do not put anything sharp into your ears.
• Do not hit anyone in or about the ear.
• Avoid listening to music, audiobooks or television loudly.
