Introduction Copy
Now, let us watch this video lesson with your child to learn more about our lungs.

Tell your child that we have two lungs, one in each side of our chest. They need to be placed close because they work together.
Now, tell your child that we use our lungs for breathing. Explain to your child that we breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide.

Your child has learned that lungs are very important because without healthy lungs, we may face breathing difficulty, and this can lead to other diseases such as asthma or lung cancer.
Explore with the children ways to keep your lungs healthy:
- Do not smoke.
- Keep yourself away from secondhand smoke.
- Cover your nose when you pass by places which are filled with smoke.
- Wear a mask to cover up your nose during hazy days.
- Avoid exercising outdoor on days where air quality is bad.
- Do exercises that help to improve your lung capacity.
