Game Time!

Enhance your child’s understanding by practicing with the workbook.

Assist your child to complete the exercises in the workbook. Refer to Page 17, 18 and 19.

On page 17, revise the life cycle of a butterfly using the video or the picture and let your child sequence the growth stages of a butterfly on this page.

On page 18, discuss with your child and talk about the pictures in each group. Find the common attributes in each group. For example, a boy grows into a man, a caterpillar grows into a butterfly and a chick grows into a chicken. Which picture does not belong to that group?

On page 19, there is more than one answer in each group. Listen to your child’s reason for selecting a particular animal. For example, in group 2, a child can cross out the snake because the snake cannot fly and does not have wings. A child can also cross out the bat because the bat gives birth to its babies while the rest lay eggs.
