Activity : Add and Subtract with Number Line Copy

Materials Needed

Number Line within 20
Whiteboard Marker
Addition Question Card
Subtraction Question Card

Procedure

  1. Let your child use the student kits Number Line to solve the questions on Addition Question Card. 
  2. Prompt your child to move the pointer to the right to add.
  3. Remind your child to count correspondingly to the markers but not the space in between numbers.
  4. Next, let your child practise with Subtraction Question Card and prompt him/her to move the pointer to the left when subtracting.
