Supporting Our Teachers

Teaching Tips!

Set high expectations but at the same, understand the children’s needs. Learning goals should be equally challenging and attainable. Recognizing each of the children’s needs and abilities will help them to succeed in the classroom.

Having trouble conducting the experiments? Activities did not go as planned?
Have extra time or are looking for creative ways to modify and “stretch” this lesson?
Here are tips and suggestions to support your teaching needs:

Guess the SoundMake the activity more interesting by asking the children to close their eyes while you make the sound (clapping, knocking, stomping etc.). Then, ask the children to open their eyes and guess the sound that they heard.
Blow the Tube WhistleIf your class size is rather large, you can prepare more containers filled with water so that the children can spread out while doing this activity instead of pushing one another when to get to the water.
