Now, let us watch this video lesson with your child to learn more about the concept of float and sink (liquid).

Discuss with your child the similar phenomena that he/she can relate to from his/her daily lives. For example:

  • Your child can remember when he/she drinks chicken soup, that your child will always see some yellow liquid droplets on top of the soup, and these yellow droplets are oil droplets floating on the surface of the soup.
  • Your child may also relate the concept of honey dissolving in water from his/her experience of drinking honey drinks made by you. Possibly when your child has been feeling unwell with a sore throat.
