Correct certain misconceptions such as ‘all birds can fly’ to avoid confusion in this lesson.
Tip: To add the element of play into the lesson, hide each Birds picture card around the classroom and ask the children to go on a hunt, searching for those hidden cards. Afterwards, ask the children to classify the cards according to which bird can fly and cannot fly.
