Activity 2: Making a Wiggly Caterpillar Copy

Now, once your child had understood the life cycle of the frog, let us have some fun with the hopping frog!

Materials Needed

  • Wiggly Caterpillar (from child’s student kit)
  • A green leaf
  • A short straw
  • A wooden stick
  • A bathroom tissue
  • A glue
  • A cellophane tape
  • A marker pen

  1. Give your child a Wiggly Caterpillar Kit. Paste the leaf to one end of the stick using tape. 
  2. Roll the bathroom tissue around a pencil and glue the end of the tissue paper. 
  3. Squeeze both ends of the tissue paper towards the center. 
  4. Draw dots along the tissue paper to represent the caterpillar’s body. 
  5. Put the straw into the prepared stick. 
  6. Tape one end of the caterpillar to the straw and the other end to the edge of the stick near the leaf. 
  7. Now your wiggly caterpillar is ready!
