Activity: Sing like a Bird Copy
Do you know what sound does a bird make? Let us produce the chirping sound of a bird using the bird whistle.
Materials Needed

- Bird Whistle (from child’s student kit)
- A bowl of water
How To Do?
Follow the step-by-step instructions for you to do a hands-on activity with your child.
- Provide your child a bird whistle. Fill up the bird whistle approximately half full of water.
- Have your child to blow into the mouthpiece gently. What sound you and your child hear?
- The bird whistle will produce a sound like bird chirping.
- Repeat the steps with different amounts of water. Observe and record the amount of water used in the whistle and evaluate how the amount of water affects the sound produced by the bird whistle.

How Does it Work?
When the air is blown into the bird whistle, the air hits the water and causes vibration. Therefore, your child can hear a sound coming out from the bird whistle as a sound is produced through vibration.
